Born and raised in the countryside of the Netherlands, and therefore a dutch designer at heart. I started out as a UX-designer back in 2015. But quickly changed my title to visual designer quite soon after discovering my love for the visual aspects of the products we make as designers.

In 2018 my teamleads surprised me and promoted me to Art Director.

I'm currently working as an Art Director at Weekend Creative Agency, after having worked at iO for 8 years. I focus on digital design, websites, apps, and so on, but love working on branding projects for brand that have a digital first approach.

I was nominated for Best Dutch Designer, DIA PRO Award, in 2022, but reached 2nd or 3d place, unfortunately. Sad me.
Vogels.com was one of my first projects in my career, which won a Magento award in the category 'UX & Design'.
'We are you' was the first agency I started working at. I designed the identity and the website, which got an Honorable Mention at Awwwards.

Currently I’m, as many other designers, exploring what AI can do for designers, and learning what it means for jobs within the creative industry. Besides that my love for history starts growing: how did people design in the past? Where does are definition of beauty come from? Why do things look the way they look. Such interesting questions and even more interesting to dive into the books and learn the answers.
